# How to deactivate your Draftable Clean license

> If you need to deactivate a Draftable Clean license — for example, to move it to a different machine — this article walks you through the process.

## Deactivating your license

To deactivate a Draftable Clean license — for example, to move it to a different machine or reassign it to another team member — open **Settings > License** and click **Deactivate License**.

  Each product key has a limited number of activations. Deactivating a license releases one activation, allowing the key to be used on another machine. If you have any issues with deactivation or need additional activations, contact the Draftable support team at [support@draftable.com](mailto:support@draftable.com).

## Checking your license status

You can verify your current license details by opening **Settings > License**. The License section displays:

* **Status** — Whether the license is active (Licensed) or expired
* **Edition** — Your Draftable Clean edition (e.g. draftable-clean)
* **Expires** — The license expiry date
* **Deactivate License** — Button to deactivate the license on this machine
