# Single-user Installation

> Install Draftable Clean on your Windows PC using the per-user installer, activate your license or start a free trial, and get the Outlook add-in from your administrator.

This guide walks you through installing Draftable Clean on your own Windows PC using the default per-user installer. For machine-wide or enterprise deployments, see [Enterprise Deployment](/hc/en-us/Draftable-Clean-articles/Deployment-options).

## Default installer (.exe)

This installer is recommended for most scenarios and is the default installer provided. It's the easiest to use and has minimal requirements — ideal for individual users and small teams.

### Benefits

* No administrator privileges are required for installation
* Updates are automatically downloaded and applied in the background

### Notes

* Each user on the system needs to run the installer (per-user deployment)
* Each user maintains their own copy of the product and settings

## Setting up the desktop application

    Run the installer and follow the prompts, which will include selecting the install location and entering the product key.

    On first launch, you will be asked to acknowledge the **terms and conditions** and your **telemetry preferences** before continuing.

    Activate the product.

    1. If you already have a license, enter your product key — it should have been sent to your email.
    2. If you don't have a license yet, you can start a **free 5-day trial directly from the application** — no need to contact sales first. You can also start a trial from the [Draftable Clean product page](https://www.draftable.com/draftable-clean).

## Setting up the Outlook add-in

The add-in is deployed organization-wide by a Microsoft 365 administrator. Setup involves uploading the Draftable Clean manifest file to the Microsoft 365 admin center and assigning it to your users.
